Lane Johnson has joined the growing list of Eagles’ veterans who can’t stop raving about the potential of rookie wide receiver, DeVonta Smith.
During a sitdown with the NFL Network’s, ‘Good Morning Football’, the Eagles star right tackle had high praise for the guy known as the ‘Slim Reaper’.
“His change of direction, his ball skills. He doesn’t say a whole lot, but he does show a whole lot of what he’s capable of. When you have a guy that high caliber, he does nothing bring guys along in the receiving corps.”
“The Slim Reaper, watch out for him.”
Smith is now the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver in Philadelphia and his mature approach and supreme route running should allow the Heisman Trophy winner to hit the ground running. His elevation to the top wideout spot should allow Jalen Reagor to blossom in year two.
