Like many Americans across the world and humans across the globe, cabin fever got the best of LaMelo Ball and his friends on Monday. Unlike most people, though, Ball did not stay inside.
While California issued a lockdown over the weekend, Ball and his friends went live on Instagram at the park in Chino Hills where they practiced terrible social distancing by taking turns dunking on one another.
On one hand, Ball and his friends are simply playing basketball at the park for what appears to be a brief time. The group has likely been together for much of the lockdown so far and essentially quarantined together.
On the other hand, though, this is exactly what people shouldn’t be doing during this time. Asking people to stay inside for a couple weeks to save lives isn’t unreasonable nor is it difficult. Given modern technology, this group of friends can all stay in contact during the lockdown quite easily.
