LaMelo Ball had perhaps his best scoring game at Spire Institute on Friday evening, dropping 41 points in a huge Spire victory. Taking part in the Rising Sun Showcase, Spire downed Hillcrest Prep North of Arizona 114-71.
Ball earned player of the game honors with a huge 41-point, 9-assist, 5-steal, 5-assist performance in the win. As a team, Spire shot well from the field, knocking in 48 percent from the field to Hillcrest Prep’s 36 percent. Spire was just as dominant in other areas, though, winning the rebounding battle 52-36, handing out 17 assists and swiping 17 steals and tallying 10 blocks.
Ball won Player of the Game by The Grind Session for his performance, which included a mixture of dunks and red-hot shooting from three-point territory. The guard finished off the night with a massive block late in the game as punctuation for his performance.
