Lamar Jackson has dazzled with both his arm and his legs against the Cincinnati Bengals en route to putting up over 40 points. Midway through the third quarter, he slung his third touchdown pass of the day, this time to wide receiver Marquise Brown.
Jackson found Brown on a 20-yard touchdown pass in spite of pressure right in his face and taking a big shot from the defender.
Even with the pressure in his face, Jackson has the pocket awareness to see a streaking Brown going towards the endzone and takes advantage of the split-second he has to thread the needle to Brown. He placed the ball in a perfect location for only Brown to go get it. He’s shown throughout the game against Cincinnati that he can throw the football, and with the clean pocket he’s had all day, it’s been easy for Jackson to pick apart this Bengals defense.
Jackson’s day is done after this one. He finished by going 15-of-17 for 223 yards, three touchdown passes and a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating — his second of the season. Robert Griffin III will look to continue on what Jackson has started.
