Watch Kyogo Furuhashi in action as Celtic new boy shows finishing ability with Vissel Kobe

With doubts over Odsonne Edouard's future and Albian Ajeti yet to hit the heights, a new striker was a big thing for Celtic this summer.

Edouard is into the final year of his deal but clubs have been put off by his asking price so far with Celtic keen on a high figure given the sell-on clause owned to PSG.

But now it looks like Ange Postecoglou has got his man with a deal agreed to sign Kyogo Furuhashi from Vissel Kobe and the Japan international looks the real deal.

He'll sign for the club once his medical is completed, providing he passes, and Hoops fans are already getting excited to see him in action for the club.

It's with due cause too with the striker looking like a talented individual and Celtic already have a good history with Japanese football.

Shunsuke Nakamura is well known in Glasgow's east end after his achievements at the club and while Furuhashi might not be a free kick expert, he's certainly a talent.

His goal record is impressive and he appears to have the ability to score all kinds of goals. He can drop short and have a go from distance or he can get high in the air to head in, while also looking impressive with both feet.

Admittedly, he did have Andres Iniesta playing in behind him for a lot of these goals but he'll get plenty of chances at Celtic Park and should be able to get goals in the Premiership.
