It is official. The Arizona Cardinals have signed quarterback Kyler Murray, the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, They got it on camera and Murray gave his thoughts on signing his first NFL contract.
“I’m excited,” he said. “I can’t wait to touch the field tomorrow and get this thing started. I’m looking forward to playing in front of you all (the fans), bringing a whole lot of wins and hopefully win a lot of championships together.
“I cannot wait.”
He reiterated his love for football and said “there’s nowhere I’d rather be” than in Arizona.
He enters with high expectations and he embraces them. They selected him first overall and traded away a player in Josh Rosen they believed would become a franchise quarterback.
General manager Steve Keim thinks Murray will be special with his combination of passing ability and running ability.
The work begins Friday with rookie minicamp.
