If you are like me, you were a little staggered by the decision of Ohio State hoops forward Kyle Young to come back to the Buckeyes for one more season. Not that it isn’t a good thing, because it clearly is, but I thought for all the world that he was going to move on to life after basketball after going through senior day, enduring multiple injuries, and more.
But, it’s exciting to know that Ohio State will have its heart and soul leader out there for one more season to do all the hard work in and around the paint like rebounding, tough defense, and more. Kick in the fact that he started to show as an emerging offensive threat, and it’s almost better than getting a four or five-star freshman to come into the program (OSU has one of those too).
If you are interested in knowing what went into Young’s decision, he met with the media via Zoom call on Friday to provide the rationale he went through in deciding to be a Buckeye for one more season.
