Watch: Kurt Warner breaks down film of Matthew Stafford’s fit with Rams

The Los Angeles Rams gave up a lot to land Matthew Stafford this offseason, trading two first-round picks, a third-rounder and Jared Goff. They also took on $24.7 million in dead money by trading Goff’s contract, not an insignificant price to pay.

The reason behind the trade is obvious: The Rams believe they’re a star quarterback away from winning a Super Bowl, and they were willing to give up major assets to acquire one. By most accounts, it was a wise move by Los Angeles.

Kurt Warner is in the camp of favoring this blockbuster deal for the Rams, loving Stafford’s fit in Sean McVay’s offense. In a three-part video series, Warner broke down what makes Stafford a great quarterback for the Rams (Parts 1 and 2), as well as some of his weak spots (Part 3)

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

All three videos are worth watching because it’s tough to find in-depth breakdowns by a former quarterback like Warner. He discusses Stafford’s aggressiveness, his arm talent and his weaknesses, but overall, he likes this pairing for the Rams.
