NEW DELHI: Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is a treat to watch when he is on song and it happened on Wednesday when the left-arm Indian spinner bamboozled Australian batter Alex Carey with a gem of a delivery during the third and final ODI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Kuldeep, who returned figures of 3/56 in his quota of 10 overs, got rid of wicketkeeper-batter Carey (38) for his third wicket after sending David Warner (23) and Marnus Labuschagne (28) to the pavillion.
The incident happened on the first ball of the 39th over when Kuldeep's delivery, which was slow in the air, turned away sharply after landing and beat the outside edge of the left-hander Carey, crashing into the off-stump leaving the batter in a shock.
Kuldeep, who hasn’t dismissed any other batter more than thrice in ODIs, has claimed Carey's wicket five times in the one-dayers so far.
Carey, who averages just 12.2 against Kuldeep in ODIs, played a fine knock of 38 which came in 46 balls and included two fours and a six.
