Watch: Klay Thompson throws down dunk at Warriors offseason minicamp

After missing the entire season due to his knee injury from the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson made his long-awaited return to the Golden State Warriors practice facility.

At the Warriors voluntary offseason minicamp, the five-time All-Star is going through drills and workouts with his Golden State teammates for the first time in 15 months. Although he’s not participating in live 5-on-5 scrimmages yet, the Warriors shared an encouraging highlight from Thompson’s performance at camp.

On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors Twitter account shared a video of the Splash Brother throwing down a one-handed slam dunk at practice. Thompson caught the ball on the wing before flashing by Eric Paschall for a clean lane to the cup.

Following his dunk, the Warriors shared more footage of Thompson at practice inside the San Francisco “Dubble.”

While Thompson’s signature is his smooth long-distance jumper, the 30-year-old wing could be adding another option to his arsenal. After a year filled with rehab, an emphatic dunk from could be the play that sets Chase Center into a frenzy.
