During his eight seasons in the association, Klay Thompson has taken on a wave of different personas.
The Golden State Warriors wing has been known as “Game Six Klay,” “China Klay,” “Scaffolding Klay” and “Sideline Reporter Klay.” With each nickname, the five-time All-Star has delivered a must-watch moment.
On Friday, Thompson added another moniker to his resume. With a new commercial, the arrival of “Nerf Klay” is here.
Alongside NFL wide receiver Julian Edelman, celebrity chef Guy Fieri, skateboarder Sky Brown and DJ Diplo, the sharpshooting guard dropped a new commercial for his partnership with Nerf. While donning a pair of sunglasses inside, Thompson unboxes his new “Nerf Mega Motostryke.” After Thompson is equipped with his Nerf blaster, the advertisement turns into a cartoon battle scene.
With encouragement from Fieri, Thompson eliminates Diplo in “The Showdown at Blaster Beach.” During the animated scene in the commercial, Thompson’s beloved bulldog Rocco makes an appearance.
