Kevin Durant is ruled out for the remainder of the Warriors’ Western Conference semifinal series against the Houston Rockets due to a strained right calf.
The injury will be re-examined next week. The Warriors lead the Rockets 3-2 in the series, but Durant’s absence will be a critical one as he’s been the most consistent scorer on the court for the Warriors in the series, in addition to being the best defender against the Rockets’ James Harden.
The winner of this series will face either the Denver Nuggets or the Portland Trailblazers in the Western Conference Finals.
The Warriors, of course, are going for their third straight title but it just got a little bit harder.
