The Arizona Cardinals traded for running back Kenyan Drake this week, giving up a conditional Day 3 draft pick in 2020. It was out of necessity, as David Johnson and Chase Edmonds are both out with injuries.
Drake didn’t take long to make an impression.
He ripped off a 36-yard run on the first play from scrimmage. Watch the play:
He would also score a touchdown in that drive, finishing with three carries for 41 yards after just one possession to take a 7-0 lead over the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.
The Cardinals hope there is more of that in the quarters and games to come.
