WATCH: Kemba Walker scores his first bucket with the Celtics

Kemba Walker had scored 12,009 regular-season points prior to Wednesday’s season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 6-foot-1 floor general scored his 12,011th point with just under seven and a half minutes remaining in the first quarter, stopping and popping from the elbow for his first points as a member of the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics trailed the Sixers at halftime 49-48. Walker, a three-time All-Star, had 10 points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field.

A third-team All-NBA selection in 2018-19, Walker averaged a career-high 25.6 points per game last season.
