Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kemba Walker turns 30 years old today, and in celebration The Celtics Wire is looking back at his first season with the team.
In his inaugural campaign with the Celtics, Walker made his fourth All-Star game (and his first as a starter), in which he scored 23 points and shot 45.5% from deep.
Over the course of the season, the UConn product averaged 21.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 0.9 steals per game, and he shot 42.1% overall and 37.7% from 3-point range in 2019-20 to date.
His season high came against the Indiana Pacers on December 11th, which saw him record 44 points and 7 assists — and he still might be able to best that record if the league comes back from the pandemic hiatus currently suspending the remainder of the 2019-20 NBA season.
