The Boston Celtics have brought back the popular video series Passing the Torch for a second season.
Last year, Boston released a series featuring floor general Kyrie Irving (now with the Brooklyn Nets) with Hall-of-Fame point guard Bob Cousy, shooting guard Jaylen Brown with forward Satch Sanders, and Marcus Smart with now-team president Danny Ainge.
The Celtics decided to renew the series, pairing point guard Kemba Walker with The Truth (better known as forward Paul Pierce), swingman Jayson Tatum and legendary Celtics forward Tommy Heinsohn, and rookie Grant Williams with the original small-ball center, Dave Cowens.
The video series touches on everything from how it feels for the new arrivals to wear the green and white to managing the ups-and-downs of an 82-game series to what it takes to hang a banner in the rafters.
The three videos run a little short of a half-hour altogether, and are worth every minute. Watch the videos embedded above, and catch a glimpse of the legends of Celtics past passing the torch to the next generation.
