After teasing fans with a party song, motion posters and the time travel concept of the film, the makers of Baar Baar Dekho finally released the first trailer Wednesday afternoon.
The two-and-a-half minute long video reveals the storyline of the film - the lead actors are happily in love, till they decide to get married. While Jai (Sidharth Malhotra) is not too kicked about the marriage, Diya (Katrina Kaif) can’t wait. For the sake of love, Jai decides to go back into his past and rectify all mistakes.
Will this be yet another cliche-ridden movie? Only time will tell, but the trailer promises two things: Sizzling chemistry between Katrina and Sidharth, and the beautiful landscapes.
The party song, a remix of the 90s hit number Kala Chashma, has got more than 24 million views on YouTube.
From what we know about the movie, both Katrina and Sidharth’s characters seem to go through various transformations in the film. They were put under prosthetics for some portions, as the movie follows the lead couple from the age of 18 to 60. Produced by Dharma Productions, Baar Baar Dekho marks the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar’s assistant, Nitya Mehra.
It is slated to hit theatres on September 9.
