Watch: Kane Williamson's stunning catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma in World Cup semifinal

NEW DELHI: India captain Rohit Sharma had already broken two records of Chris Gayle - most sixes in World Cups and most sixes in a single World Cup edition - in the first semifinal of the World Cup against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.

Rohit led from the front with a blistering knock after winning the toss.

The 'Hitman' smashed 4 sixes and 4 sixes and was looking set for his 56th ODI fifty when a brilliant catch by his Kiwi counterpart Kane Williamson much to the disappointment of his home Wankhede crowd.

The India captain skyed a hit off a Tim Southee cutter and was well caught by Williamson, running back at mid-off.

Rohit's exit left India at 71/1 in the ninth over.
