It has already been a busy transfer window for Chelsea and Frank Lampard.
The Blues have added five new players to their squad ahead of the new campaign with Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner being joined by Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, and Thiago Silva, all of whom joined the club in the last week.
And it seems that Chelsea are not yet done with their transfer business as they close in on the £72m signing of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.
Chelsea are said to have agreed a fee with the German club, with Havertz already agreed to a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old has been a key transfer target for Frank Lampard as he looks to build a squad to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League next season.
Although a deal is close, Chelsea fans may have to wait a bit longer until the official announcement of the signing.
Havertz joined up with the German national team on Monday afternoon, and took full part in a training session the same evening, joining future teammate Timo Werner on the training pitch.
The midfielder was caught on camera by journalists taking part in passing drills as the team gear up for their Nations League games against Spain and Switzerland.
The full hour and half training session can be watched via the German national team’s Youtube channel.
Havertz has seven senior caps for Germany, scoring his only goal for the nation in the 2-2 friendly draw with Argentina back in September 2019.
