WATCH: Justin Fields says if you want to see him play again, wear a mask to limit the spread of COVID-19

Seemingly all of Buckeye Nation is coming out with efforts to get those that have been reluctant to believe the CDC guidelines of wearing a mask to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic to do so. From some of the Ohio State coaches including Ryan Day, to others, many are trying to get the message out.

Add Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields in that group too. He released a video showing a highlight of him throwing a touchdown pass in the Michigan game with a caption … “If you want this,” to another caption after the highlight that says, “wear a mask.”

Fields goes on to offer his own plea:

“I want a season, and in order for that to happen, we need you to wear a mask,” says Fields. “Not only to protect yourselves but others. Go Bucks!”

Here is the video shared to Fields’ Twitter profile for your own viewing pleasure.

No matter how you feel about the media coverage of the pandemic, it’s clear that there is a virus circulating out there. It’s also clear that cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are rising based on the data available. It’s also very, very clear that the college football season and other fall sports are in jeopardy if things aren’t managed a bit better.
