The Justin Fields and Jesse James connection has thrived during training camp, and now it’s continuing in the preseason.
Following an impressive scoring drive to open the third quarter, Fields led the Bears on another scoring drive on the following series, which ended with that Fields to James connection.
Fields found a wide-open James downfield for a 30-yard touchdown, marking Fields’ first touchdown throw as a Bear. The Bears went 70 yards in seven plays on that series.
In the second half, Fields has completed 6-of-6 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.

For the game, Fields is 14-for-20 for 141 yards and one touchdown with a quarterback rating of 106.5.
The Bears lead 17-13 in the third quarter.
