Julian Edelman had not cut his beard in months. And he credited Bill Belichick for the idea.
“Coach Belichick has this thing that he says: ‘Put everything in the drawer and [don’t] worry about it until the season’s done.’ And I put my razor in the drawer,” Edelman said during an appearance on “Ellen” on Friday. “He’s a crazy, intimidating man.”
The New England Patriots receiver said that right before Ellen Degenerous convinced him to let her shave his beard. She was willing to make $10,000 donation to the “Boys and Girls Club of America,” if she could trim it. Edelman agreed to allow her to cut it, and then jumped in and matched the donation, which then totaled to $20,000.
