WATCH: Jordan Poole ‘sings’ Michigan State fight song before a booing Chase Center crowd

In the battle of the Spartans and the Wolverines, the Spartans will always win — at least for Golden State Warriors players Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. On Media Day, a reporter asked how Green, a pride-filled Michigan State Spartan, will handle the new Wolverines on the roster, including rookie phenom Jordan Poole.

“I’ll manage those players, as Warriors,” Green replied.

Well, that apparently involves public hazing. At the Warriors’ open practice last night at Chase Center, Green forced Poole to sing the Michigan State fight song before a crowd of booing, bewildered fans.

Stephen Curry sat on a basketball, looking on in stunned silence.

While rookie Eric Paschall showed off his rap battle skills at the event, good enough that he could have a second career as a recording artists if he wanted, Poole’s tone-deaf “singing” was unkind to the eardrums. With all the amenities at Chase Center, one has to wonder if workers handed out towels so fans could wipe their bleeding ears.

Now, if Green really wants to send a message, he could skip the old popcorn-in-the-car trick and have Poole’s vehicle painted Spartans green.
