Watch: John Johnson explains what he loves about Los Angeles

In just two years in the NFL, John Johnson has already established himself as one of the best safeties in the league. The Los Angeles Rams star is looking like one of Les Snead’s best draft picks, and many observers are picking him to break out in 2019.

Johnson loves playing in Southern California, and he put that on full display in a recent video short the team produced. Johnson hit the road in a bus the Rams rented for a tour of Hollywood and hit some tourist attractions.

Among the stops they hit were the Freddy Krueger house from “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” There, we learned that not only does Johnson have a tattoo of Krueger, he also has one of fellow horror movie icon Jason Voorhees from the “Friday the 13th” series.

They then went to a Korean BBQ place in Koreatown, where Johnson talked about how much he liked living in the area. “I like being here, there’s just a lot to do. Every day there’s something to do,” he explained.

Johnson and the host also talked about how he can blend in easier than professional athletes in smaller cities might be able to, with Johnson saying he feels just like a “regular guy” whenever he’s out and about.

Johnson had a very promising 2018 season, starting all 16 games while recording four interceptions and 11 passes defended. With Eric Weddle now in the fold, the Rams should have one of the best safety duos in the league in 2019.
