Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon may not love his Pro Football Focus grade — but the highlights speak for themselves.
During a quiet spot for Bengals news, the NFL decided to round up the best highlights from Mixon’s sophomore campaign, which happened to see him lead the AFC in rushing:
Despite odd usage at times and running behind a struggling line, Mixon dashed to 1,168 yards and eight touchdowns on a 4.9 per-carry average, adding another score as a receiver over just 14 games.
Going into his third season, Mixon will run behind what is presumably a better offensive line and perhaps receive even better usage from a new coaching staff who will undoubtedly view the talent differently than those in the past.
It’s another way of saying Mixon should compete for the conference rushing title again, at the least.
