The Cincinnati Bengals hope they have something special with the Joe Burrow-Tee Higgins connection, the team’s first two picks in this year’s draft.
Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles might’ve provided the first serious look at what the connection can do to opposing defenses.
Late in the first half with the offense on a two-minute drive, Burrow rolled out near the endzone and hit Higgins for a touchdown strike that put his Bengals ahead, 10-6.
Higgins, the first pick of the second round this year, got the nod as a starter in three-wide looks while former first-round pick John Ross sat on the inactive list.
