The 49ers rolled the dice late in the first half on a fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line with four seconds left. Their first attempt, and handoff to Jeff Wilson Jr., got stuffed. Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury called a timeout though before the play that gave the 49ers another shot.
San Francisco took advantage with a play action throw from Jimmy Garoppolo to Emmanuel Sanders.
The catch was Sanders’ second touchdown with San Francisco, and the throw was Garoppolo’s third touchdown throw of the first half.
