WATCH: Jim Harbaugh says ‘controversy follows everywhere’ Urban Meyer has been

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has attention on him after he made an honest assessment of former rival Urban Meyer in talking on The Athletics’ :The TK Podcast,” saying: “Urban Meyer’s had a winning record. A really phenomenal record everywhere he’s been. But also, controversy follows everywhere he’s been.”

The rest of the 30-minute podcast details Harbaugh’s time at Michigan, discusses the likelihood of the Wolverines finally becoming the team Big Blue fans hoped it’d be when Harbaugh returned to coaching college from the NFL and addresses his 0-4 record versus OSU head-on.

Meyer’s record at Ohio State was 83-9 with a National Championship. At Florida, he won a pair of NCAA Titles posting a 65-16 record. Ohio State named the former coach an assistant athletics director in January despite his admission that he knew Smith was reported for domestic violence back in 2015. Meyer insisted he filled the proper paperwork and reported the incident to the athletic department at the time, then keeping Smith on staff.
