WATCH: Jets rookie can solve Rubik’s Cube behind his back

Jets offensive lineman Calvin Anderson’s main talent is football, but he also has a unique skill when it comes to handling a Rubik’s Cube.

Anderson is trying to win a spot on the Jets’ 53-man roster this season as a rookie. After Tuesday’s practice, however, football won’t be the only thing he’s known for. It turns out he can solve a Rubik’s Cube — behind his back!

“It’s a cool little talent,” Anderson told the AP’s Dennis Waszak.

Ever since middle school, Anderson has kept a Rubik’s Cube close. He would solve them before games in high school and in college and many questioned what the point of it was. Well, he does it to calm himself down and get rid of any distractions before a game.

Anderson was claimed by the Jets off of waivers after being signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Texas.

Whether Anderson makes the team or not, the Rubik’s Cube will always be apart of his life. It’s a skill that not many people have and it’s one that always catches people’s attention, especially the way he prefers to do it.
