WATCH: Jets legend Joe Namath on working with O.J. Simpson

Joe Namath had a legendary 12-year tenure with the New York Jets. After he retired from the NFL, though, Namath took up various jobs in front of the camera. Those gigs included one season of The Joe Namath Show, a brief television and movie acting career and a one-year stint as a color commentator on ABC’s Monday Night Football in 1985.

What was most notable about his time on Monday Night Football was that Namath worked games with former Buffalo Bills running back O.J. Simpson. During his appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show this week, Namath spoke briefly about his time working alongside Simpson.

Simpson, of course, is known just as much for his run-ins with the law as he is his football career. Namath got plenty of attention for things he did off the field, too, but nothing quite like Simpson.
