WATCH: Jayson Tatum injures ankle while making game-winning play

As Team USA wrapped up their barn-burner victory over Turkey on Tuesday, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had to be helped into the tunnel after spraining his ankle while breaking down the court.

The fast break led to Tatum making a pass to a weaving Khris Middleton, who was fouled on his layup attempt and subsequently made the two free-throws Team USA needed to edge past Turkey.

Following the game, it was reported that Tatum had suffered a sprained left ankle and would be re-evaluated next week. However, Tatum would say that his ankle felt better immediately after the game, while walking without a significant limp.
