WATCH: Jayson Tatum dazzles at Rumph Classic in Philadelphia

In two years in the NBA, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has shown he has the potential to be one of the league’s top scorers.

With Tatum and the rest of the NBA in the offseason, though, he and other players are working on their games. Tatum recently showed out for fans at the Rumph Classic in Philadelphia.

The Rumph Classic is an annual tournament that strives to “bring awareness to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), the leading cause of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in today’s youth.”

With Tatum hooping in Philadelphia, he showcased his scoring ability for the crowd.  He displayed his ability to create space, using his good handles to blow by defenders for easy buckets.

Along with Tatum’s dribbling skills, his shooting ability was also on display. In his first two years in the league, Tatum has shot an average of 40% from the three-point line. At the Rumph Classic, Tatum knocked down jumpers with ease.

What’s most intriguing about Tatum’s game is its fluidity. Because of Tatum’s ability to blow past people with his dribble, generating offense seems to usually come easy for him. As Tatum prepares for his third season, it’ll be interesting to see how he builds upon his quality offensive arsenal.
