WATCH: Jaylen Brown scores 33 points in just 19 minutes vs. Cavs

Sunday night’s blowout road win against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage field house on Jan. 24 was a night for the books for rising Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown, who put up 33 points in just 19 minutes of floor time, an NBA record for the Georgia native just one game after tying his career high of 42 points in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Brown has been hanging ridiculous scoring numbers on opponents this season, effectively doubling his career scoring average of 13.6 points per game so far in 2020-21. And while at least some of that is a result of more touches for the Cal-Berkeley product in the absence of players like now-Charlotte Hornets star Gordon Hayward, much more of it has come from Brown being trusted in a bigger role with improved handles and an ice-cold demeanor on the attack.

Watch the Celtic forward’s lethal, record-setting assault on a hapless Cavs team that just brought down the new look Brooklyn Nets twice last week with the league’s No. 2 defense for yourself in this video produced by Tomasz Kordylewski.

It was one of the best outings in such a short stretch we’ve seen in a long while as Boston drubbed the Cavs 141 – 103, and we think you’ll agree it was too.
