It might not have ended with a win for the Georgia native this year, but the Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown put on a show against the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas Day for Celtics fans for the second season in a row now.
The Cal-Berkeley product scored 27 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and a block in 31 minutes of playing time Friday, going 11-of-25 overall from the floor and 5-of-9 from the charity stripe, turning the ball over twice. It is his second 25-point + games out of two played thus far this season, hinting Brown may be on the cusp of making his own leap to superstardom.
While there’s still plenty of work the former Golden Beat needs to apply to his game to get to such rarified air, the clear improvements in ball handling and passing are readily evident in his game, and were on full display against the Nets.
