WATCH: Jaylen Brown’s highlights for Celtics – 76ers Game 1

Boston Celtics fourth-year shooting guard Jaylen Brown was an instrumental component of Monday night’s 109 – 101 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, getting hot late in the game exactly when his teammates needed a boost on offense to secure the win.

The Cal-Berkeley product put up 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals on 9-of-16 shooting, including a sizzling hot 5-of-8 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line, scoring a critical 15 points in the game’s fourth quarter, helping Boston put the first game of the series away.

“Jaylen Brown in the last period was exceptional,” related 76ers head coach Brett Brown after the game.

And indeed he was, as he has been for much of this season, his shouldering of the offensive load in such a crucial moment exemplary for how he’s stepped up his game this season.
