Much of the Rams’ success is riding on Jared Goff’s shoulders this season after a disappointing campaign from the young quarterback in 2019. He got very little help from his offensive line and running game, but the Rams’ receiving corps was certainly a strength of the team.
Goff’s connection with Robert Woods has really grown in the last couple of years, leading to back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for the veteran wideout. That chemistry will only get better, too, and at practice on Tuesday, the two were humming on offense.
Twice Goff hit Woods over the middle with needle-threading throws between defenders, one of which was caught on video by the Rams and shared on Instagram.

In a game setting, Woods probably would’ve gotten cracked in the chest by the safety, who in this instance was Jake Gervase. With it being practice, though, Gervase spun out of the way, so as not to take the receiver’s head off with a bang-bang play.
It was still a nice throw by the quarterback and a confident catch by Woods, going for a nice gain over the middle.
