See Jamie Shackleton brilliantly starting Leeds United chants at Old Trafford during FA Youth Cup tie

A strong contingent of almost 1,500 Leeds United supporters travelled to Old Trafford to watch the FA Youth Cup clash against Manchester United - and a familiar face was among them.

20-year-old Leeds midfielder Jamie Shackleton took his place among the away fans to watch the highly-anticipated clash, which whet the appetite amid the long wait for a senior meeting between the two clubs.

The two historic rivals have not met in a competitive match since a League Cup game in September 2011, although they did face off in a pre-season friendly in Australia last summer.

As such, interest in the clash was high and Shackleton's attendance at the match proved as much - and he delighted fans in the away end by starting a chant.

Shackleton was not the only member of the senior squad keeping tabs on the fifth-round clash, as Liam Cooper also took to social media to acknowledge the 'unbelievable' support from the Whites faithful.

Leeds United have not won the FA Youth Cup since 1997, which came as part of two successes in the era with the trophy also lifted in 1993 - the only two times the Whites have reached the final.
