Watch Jamie McDonagh's stunning goal as Glentoran beat Cliftonville

Jamie McDonagh scored a stunning goal as Glentoran beat Cliftonville at the Oval.

The midfielder fired home a superb winner in the 89th minute.

A cross was headed clear by the Reds defence, and when it was nodded down to McDonagh he hammered a volley from all of 30 yards into the top corner of the net.

Cliftonville goalkeeper Aaron McCarey was at full stretch but couldn't keep the effort out.

McCarey did pull off a late penalty save from Chris Gallagher, after Glentoran new boy Conor McMenamin had been brought down inside the box by Garry Breen who was sent off.

The win moves Glentoran - who remain seventh - to within a point of Cliftonville, and with two games in hand.

It is also Glentoran's first win against opposition outside of the bottom three this season.
