WATCH: James Harden posts his own video of one-legged three

Earlier this offseason, a video of superstar Houston Rockets guard James Harden shooting a three-pointer off only one leg surfaced on social media courtesy of Darico “Rico” Hines, a player development coach for the Sacramento Kings,.

Naturally, this drew speculation as to whether this was something Harden was working on for the 2019-20 NBA season. During a question-and-answer session with young fans in Houston, Harden had previously said that he was working on a new move for the upcoming season that will look like travel, but actually is not.

That speculation is now in overdrive after the latest post from Harden to his own Instagram account. In a video montage of his 2019 offseason activities, the first clip displays a new version of the move. The prior highlight was of Harden fading away with a crossover to his right, whereas this showcases the move going to his left.

Last week, Harden explained how he wants his signature step-back shot from three-point range to be remembered among other historic signature moves from legends like Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki.

Harden turned 30 years old earlier this week and is set to begin his 11th NBA season — his eighth in Houston — once the new NBA season begins in October. But even after all that time, he is still actively looking for ways to innovate and add to his game.

The NBA’s 2018 Most Valuable Player (MVP) finished second in 2019 MVP voting after averaging a career-high 36.1 points per game, along with 7.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds.
