WATCH: Jalen Ramsey shows up to Jaguars training camp in armored truck

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey expressed his thoughts on a new contract earlier this season, basically stating that he wants to break the bank. However, before he does that he’ll be looking to lock down every opponent that steps before him in 2019, which should give him all the leverage he needs for a new deal.

To send that exact message to both his opponents and probably the Jags’ brass, the young cornerback reported to camp in armored truck today. He also had comedian HaHa Davis act as his hype man to make the message loud and clear through a megaphone.

Check it out.

“The man so good, they finna give him his own jail,” Davis said upon Ramsey’s arrival.”… These receivers are on 24-hour lockdown!”

While climbing form the back of the money truck, Ramsey replied with a “Y’all know what time it is!”

Sounds like the receivers on the Jags’ schedule are in for a long season as Ramsey now has a chip on his shoulder because of a very slight decline in play in 2018 and the motivation to be the highest-paid corner in football. Additionally, he probably won’t be thrilled to potentially play on his fifth-year option, so there is also that.

Ramsey finished 2018 with 65 tackles and three interceptions. That was good enough to get him his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod, and one can only think it’s far from his last.
