WATCH: Jahleel Addae reels in first interception with the Texans

The Houston Texans have put a fair amount of trust in backup safety Jahleel Addae. On Sunday, the team gave the seven-year veteran his second-straight start with starter Tashaun Gipson. He paid it back in the fourth quarter.

On 3rd-and-8, with less than seven minutes left in Houston’s divisional tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Addae got the interception on a bad throw from rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew.

It appears as if Minshew was targetting the crossing route to wide receiver Keenan Allen. However, his pass didn’t look the same as he ultimately overthrew the open man. Addae lept onto the ball to give it back to the offense with time waning.

Addae’s interception is his first of the season and, subsequently, the first as a member of the Texans. For his career, the former Chargers and now Texans safety has three interceptions. He has filled in nicely for Gipson on Sunday.
