Third-year defensive lineman Arden Key came up with a huge sack mid-way through the third quarter that helped keep the Jacksonville Jaguars in contention against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Broken protection on the part of Mitchell Trubisky’s offensive lineman led to a huge hit that got the Jaguars the ball back.

Key is fighting for a role as a rotational pass rusher on a Jacksonville team that absolutely stacked up front. This play will serve as a good reminder of the natural talent that made him a two-time All-SEC selection in college and might buy him some cache with the coaching staff moving forward.
Listed as a backup on the current depth chart, this play may help his case for a spot in the lineup on passing downs or in subpackage looks that necessitate speed and power in the pass rush.
The Jaguars would score a field goal off the leg of kicker Ryan Santoso on the ensuing drive after the sack, with the big defensive stand helping to set the tempo in Jacksonville’s favor early in this preseason tilt. If they can keep momentum in their favor, the Jaguars may be able to notch their first win of a 2022 campaign that is all about rebuilding the franchise to former glory.
