Watch Jaguar’s special XE model with a French connection

Jaguar is celebrating its iconic D-Type’s maiden racing victory in 1954 at the 12 Hours of Reims with a special version of the XE.

The Reims Edition of the compact executive saloon sports the British brand’s famous French Racing Blue paintwork and an array of gloss black features.

These include the roof, grille, 19in alloys, sill inserts, mirror caps, side vents and window surrounds, while privacy glass is fitted as standard.

Power comes from the marque’s 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine that develops a healthy 250PS and there’s a hi-tech, luxurious interior as befits a car costing £38,295.

Based on the R-Dynamic S model, it adds the likes of heated seats and steering wheel, and other goodies include Apple Car Play, a rear parking camera and front parking sensors.

But what makes the Reims Edition really special is that just 200 will be built – so you’d better hurry along to your local Jaguar dealer if you want one.
