WATCH: Jae’Sean Tate’s top plays for the Rockets in 2020-2021

For anyone wondering whether hard work pays off or not no matter where you are in a career, look no further than former Ohio State basketball player Jae’Sean Tate. He was a four-star recruit coming out of Pickerington, and was a sort of blue-collar jack of all trades workhorse for the Buckeyes during his career. But he wasn’t NBA material upon graduation in 2018.

In fact, Tate went undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft and eventually found his way overseas to work on his game. And that is where he blossomed. His game got significantly better, so much so that he has now found his way into the NBA with the Houston Rockets, and has become a revelation for the league. This season, he averaged 11.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and a significant volume of floor burns at the game’s highest level.

And now, the Houston Rockets are showing him off in a top plays highlight shared to the organization’s Twitter page. If you haven’t seen first hand yet what Tate has become, start with this package of moves and then try to get onboard for next season.

Hard work pays off after all. A guy that was left out of the NBA because of a perceived lack of game has come back to the States and has turned himself into a key player in the league. All because of hard work.

And we love it.
