Watch: Irish band Arcwords' music video illustrates the effects isolation can have on a couple

Dublin based band Arcwords have released their third single 'Hyperlinking' that illustrates the effects social media can have on couples who are in isolation together.

Made by frequent Arcwords collaborator Rachael Scully the video builds upon themes discussed in the lyrics such as online validation seeking.

The video follows a couple cooped up inside, surrounded by screens, upon which Arcwords perform.

The video is extremely relevant in light of the current quarantine situation many now find themselves in, with only screens to interact with.

Arcwords are an Indie band that features Stefan Farrrell, Conor Lyons on bass Anton Shovlin on drums and Derek Ellard on guitar.

After meeting as students in BIMM Dublin, Arcwords have spent the last three years drawing upon post-punk and math rock styles to create a guitar-driven, hook filled sound.

They combine influences such as Bloc Party, TTNG, the Smiths, and Everything Everything, to bring something new to the indie rock table.
