WATCH: Ireland's Adam Idah nets first Premier League goal for Norwich City against Everton

Adam Idah bagged his first-ever Premier League goal as Norwich City turned over Rafa Benitez’s Everton to move within a point of safety.

The Ireland striker scored what proved to be the winning goal early in the first half, less than two minutes after Michael Keane’s own goal had put the Canaries in front.

On-loan Manchester United left-back Brandon Williams intercepted a loose pass from Ireland captain Seamus Coleman before rampaging forward.

The Englishman played a perfect through-ball into the path of Corkman Idah, who nudged the ball past England keeper Jordan Pickford for his first goal at Carrow Road.

Brazilian striker Richarlison pulled a goal back with a spectacular effort after the break but Norwich held on for a morale-boosting victory.

They go above Burnley and Newcastle United in the table and are within a point of safety after Watford could only hold Newcastle in one of the other three o’clock games.

“I was over the moon, to be honest,” Idah told Premier Sports after the game.

“To get a Premier League goal is what every kid wants, and to do it today and get three points is unbelievable. It’s just a great feeling.”
