Watch: Incredible moment sub teacher surprises class with effortless rendition of Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma

Here's the incredible moment Dr Gavan Ring surprised his 2nd class students with a rendition of Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma.

The classically trained Tenor has been subbing in Rampark NS in Lordship, Co Louth due to the lack of jobs in the arts and entertainment industry at the moment.

Having initially trained as a school teacher Gavan decided to focus his career on music and has since achieved some incredible feats including performing with the London Symphony Orchestra at the BBC proms.

Gavan is an established musician with regular broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and RTÉ Lyric FM, but has been finding it difficult to find work during the pandemic.

"I trained as a teacher initially and am back at it with some subbing lately as nearly all my work has been lost to the pandemic.

"The video was just a music lesson i did at the end of the day."

In the video Gavan explains to his kids that "when you go to the opera you have to be quiet."

He then proceeds to amaze them with an effortless performance of one of Opera's most recognisable songs.

Some of the young children cover their ears due to the loudness of the performance but they all applaud Gavan at the end of his rendition.
