WATCH: How will Celtics bigs Al Horford and Robert Williams III mesh on the court?

When it came to last season’s double big lineups that so often sent fans into a rage, the Boston Celtics had to play them as part of an impossible balancing act their roster construction forced onto them.

Now, heading into the 2021-22 NBA season, the Celtics still have a less-than-ideal frontcourt rotation for the modern NBA, given recently returned Al Horford is better suited at this stage of his career to play center than power forward. But Horford’s elite basketball IQ and shooting figure to mesh better with the absurd vertical spacing provided by Robert Williams III than either of the latter’s primary big man teammates did last season.

How will the duo mesh on the court? What can Timelord learn from the veteran? And how will the rotations pan out? These are some of the questions discussed on a recent episode of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Beat.”

Watch hosts Adam Kaufman and Evan Valenti along with guest Jared Weiss of The Athletic talk all things Celtics frontcourt in the clip embedded above.
