Watch: How Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma worked out Steve Smith's dismissal

NEW DELHI: After bowling out India for 260 in their first innings, the Aussies were looking for quick runs to set a target in the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at The Gabba in Brisbane on Day 5.

Australia were 28/4 when Steve Smith came to the crease. India captain Rohit Sharma brought Mohammed Siraj back in the attack and when Virat Kohli asked him from which side he will bowl from, the pacer said over the wicket.

Rohit pointed out that from over the wicket, it will be easier for Smith to open his stance and score freely.

But Virat replied, "No, no, let him bowl from over the stumps. If he bowls that scrambled seam delivery, there's a higher chance of getting him out. He's right (Siraj). Set the square leg a bit deeper for the inswing and let him bowl at the stumps."

And though Smith hit Siraj for a boundary in the over, the Indian pacer had the former Australia captain caught behind down the leg by a diving Rishabh Pant to reduce Australia to 33/5.

With time running out in Brisbane, this Test seems to be heading for a draw and India will be immensely satisfied to head to the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne with the series still locked at 1-1.
