Most Boston Celtics fans know about Danny Ainge’s playing days with the team, whether they watched them firsthand, or have heard the lore passed down over the years about how the team president won titles with Boston in the 1980s.
But what many fans do not know much about is how he would return to the team after its long ‘wilderness’ era in the 1990s and early aughts, helping to restore the team to its former glory as an executive. In honor of the anniversary of his debut with the team back in 1981 on this date now nearly four decades past, we decided to post this clip about how he came back to the team for that reason.
